A highly regarded NYC based construction firm is looking for a passionate individual who is ready to contribute their talents and expertise to an environment that rewards hard work, cooperation and respect.
The company has increased the demand for qualified individuals serving as a highly motivated MEP Superintendent, with a minimum of 7 years of proven experience. The candidate will be responsible for performing the following as it relates to plumbing, sprinkler, HVAC and electrical:
1. Review bid and contract documents to confirm that the MEP design / installations are properly coordinated with all other work. Review bid / contract documents to establish the most efficient and cost effective method of installation for the required work.
2. Work closely with design professional during the preconstruction phase to ensure that the overall MEP design is properly coordinated with existing conditions and the proposed new work.
3. Plan logistics of complex operations and schedules activities in the efforts to accomplish goals.
4. Performance of value engineering by finding equal products and / or methods of installation at a reduced cost
5. Review all MEP associated shop drawings for design adherence, coordination with existing conditions / new installation and sound mechanical practices. Inspect and monitor all subcontractor installations for both conformance and schedule adherence. Evaluate and develop field personnel including workers, foreman, and superintendent.
6. Oversee all equipment / systems start up and client training.
7. Build and maintain strong customer relations with general contractor, sub contractors and vendors.
The qualified person will be responsible for specific projects as well as the general oversight of all mechanical installations.
